New Bethel Ministries - Meet Our First Lady
New Bethel Ministries - "The City of Refuge"

Kianna S. Baker is a native of Baltimore City and was raised by James and Sharron Scott. Kianna’s love for children is the reason she is currently enrolled at Baltimore City Community College for Early Childhood Education and she runs a Daycare out of her home. Kianna loves to dance and has been dancing for the Lord since she was sixteen years old. She is also available as a consultant for other dance ministries that are starting out.

Kianna is married to Pastor Bryant A. Baker Sr. and they have three sons: Zakai, Bryant Jr., and Bryndan. Her favorite scripture is Proverbs 31, which she strives to be every day.

“A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth for more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life.” Proverbs 31:10-12

Kianna has been active in many Ministries over the years. She attended Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, under Reverend Dr. Samuel Blow, where she gave her life to Christ and started to dance for the Lord.  The dance ministry was named Spiritual Expressions, which was under the leadership of Deborah Stewart-Akles. In her service of three (3) years with this ministry, her talent began to blossom that’s where Kianna knew dance would be her gift.  Once this leader of the ministry moved onto to another ministry, Kianna, with some of the other dancers formed another dance group and named themselves Anointed Steps.  Now under the leadership of her mother,  Sharron Scott and, her Godmother,  Gwendolyn Logan for a year and a half, before going on to dance solo.  In her tenure at Pleasant Hope Baptist Church, Kianna served faithfully on the following ministries: Youth Choir, Youth Usher Board, Welcome Committee, and Drama and as a teen, served as a Youth Counselor.

As time grew, so did Kianna.  She left Pleasant Hope and joined Covenant Life Family Worship Center under Pastor Tony Golphin-Hill, where she taught the Youth and Women’s Dance Ministries. Kianna begin to work with the Youth Ministry soon after she joined, in collaboration with 1st Lady Latonya Hill, to teach the young girl’s ministry.  While teaching that ministry, there were many breakthroughs and wombs heal. God began to show Kianna her destiny with the young women.

Now God has called her to a new level of ministry at New Bethel Ministries “The City of Refuge” where she serves faithfully and fully, alongside her husband, Pastor Bryant Baker.
