 Pastor Bryant A. Baker Sr. Pastor Bryant A Baker Sr. has a tremendous passion for God’s word coupled with a love for God’s people. He has a contagious spirit of generosity that flows through every facet of his ministry. Having received his calling as Founder and Senior Pastor of New Bethel Ministries “The City of Refuge.” The Holy Spirit revealed the vision of the ministry to Pastor Baker. He established the ministry in the month of March of 2009. Pastor Baker’s vision is a ministry where the vision is the people, and for the people, and the people for the vision. A ministry focused on the people while being Christ centered. A ministry not just focused on getting people to build the vision, but the vision is to build the people of God through His uncompromising word and having faith in His word. Bryant A. Baker was born to late-Marshall Lee Baker and Shirley Ann (Baker) Lindsey in Jesup, Ga. He attended the Wayne County Elementary and High Schools. As a youth he worked in many projects and auxiliaries within the church: audio technical staff, multimedia staff, brotherhood department, youth coordinator, Boyz II Men project, and the young people department, and Youth Praise Team, just to name a few. Bryant was saved and filled with Holy Spirit May 12.1993 under the leadership of Suff. Bishop George E. Floyd, pastor of Bethlehem Temple Holiness Church of P.A.W in Jesup Ga. Bryant preach his first message at Bethlehem Temple at the age of 15. “With God a promise is a Promise.” In 2003 Pastor Bryant moved to Baltimore, MD, as he prayed for God to guide him he found roots in Temple Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Jerome McNeil Sr. and Covenant Life Family Worship Center under the leadership of Dr. Tony Golphin-Hill. In 2006, he was licensed and ordained as a minister under the leadership of Dr. Tony Golphin-Hill. He then met and married Kianna Baker in October 2005 and they have three sons, Zakai Baker, Bryant A. Baker II and Bryndan Asa Baker. He serves faithful as Youth Minister, Praise and Worship Leader, Project Planner, leader of Mighty Men of Valor, conducted Youth Bible Study on Thursday nights and Adult Sunday School. He served on years as Coordinator of Living In Favor Global Network International Youth Ministry under leadership of Bishop D. Myles Golphin. Pastor Baker is founder and CEO of the City of Refuge and Impact C.I.T.Y., which are non-profit youth organizations that involves mentoring and building up our inner-city youth.
